Punjab Jewellers is a standalone, large format store spread across an area of 7000 sq ft. With a lasting legacy of producing splendid designs of the highest quality of high-end jewellery, DCA Architects has designed this project, while adopting the same approach. Being a standalone store, the length of the facade was fairly large and hence the large arched openings have been exploited to a large extent and a subtle, modern, classical facade has been designed. The floor plate inherited was very large with a lot of columns and a complex ceiling geometry. DCA Architects incorporated inherited architectural legacy within the spatial planning to create different sections in the store and assigned a definite role to each section. This zoning of each section enhanced the comfort of the entire layout and made transition and movement easier. The transition is also used as portals for the transformation of space.
