A Minimalist Interior Framed by Nature’s Green Canvas at Barkat
Barkat reflects prosperity in every detail, with the sentiment taking tangible form within the home, nestled in the primo residential neighborhood of New Delhi. The design approach is rooted in minimalist interventions that infuse warmth and personality into the home’s shell. The space transforms into a visually and emotionally rich environment by seamlessly integrating the structure with its verdant surroundings.
The dining area is a tribute to timeless elegance and sublime design expression at Barkat. The centre of familial activity, the space dons a symphony of decadent hues and finishes that bring tones of deep charcoal, tan brown, and glass into play. The pristine marble-top dining table has a sculptural presence that elevates the space with its duo of circular enfolded brass legs.
Niveditaa Gupta
A central bar console, wrapped in sleek brass segments, defines the transition between the living and dining areas. Its movable design allows for versatile placement, offering the flexibility to reconfigure the space as needed, making it adaptable to various uses and occasions.
The living area is bathed in an interplay of umber brown tones, accented by calming hues of blue and ochre, with expansive views of the surrounding lush greenery and abundant natural light that floods the space. Wood is constant in wall panelling, bespoke furniture, and striking focal additions, grounding the space.
The study is an oasis of calm, enriched with warm wood tones and touches of gilded brass. Scarlet wainscoted walls wrap the space, while emerald tree canopies frame the windows. A custom leather-lined desk with foldable panels adds ergonomic comfort and elegant functionality.
Less is truly more in bedrooms, tailored to the client’s needs. A refined colour palette and luxe finishes define the bedrooms, where a singular hue often takes the limelight. Thoughtful layering of furnishings, lighting, and rugs complements the stone floors, enhancing the serene atmosphere.
At Barkat, there is a balance between living in sync with nature and minimalist grandeur. It narrates a way of being, weaving a notion of retreating to the lap of luxury while remaining rooted to the soul of the house.
