Through a restrained palette and precise detailing, this boutique reinterprets heritage for modern luxury.
The boutique for Khanna Jewellers in Gurugram strikes a balance between heritage and modern luxury through its carefully curated material palette. Spanning 2250 sq ft, the space is defined by a restrained richness where each finish plays a role in highlighting the jewellery. A warm backdrop of smoked walnut veneer wall panels sets the tone, contrasted by marble flooring in Amalfi Grey and Crema Diva that adds depth and elegance.
Jeetin Sharma

Intricate details, such as a thin band of brushed metal between the marble flooring, have been worked out to create a chic effect. The exploration of materials has been pushed to the limit, resulting in a clean, consciously compact and cosy design that successfully elevates the brand identity of Khanna Jewellers.
The walls are a combination of crème-painted surfaces, boxed within dark brown wooden reliefs that extend to wooden shelves below. The crème walls, in turn, are interspersed with deep relief shelves containing dummies to display jewellery. Clad in light indigo velvet, the shelves are encased in glass with glittering golden borders. Vibrant chairs clad in a deep violet velvet finish throw in the necessary spark to the overall spatial quality. Lights were a crucial part of the design development. Lights that focus on clients escalated the project illumination to the next level. The roof is plain, and despite all lighting services being active, none are visible. A plain white ceiling, set against Victorian design and champagne-gold foil finish cornices, allows the theme to flow consistently through the elements.
