The brief was to use the largest area in the center of Khan Market in NCR, and design a place for the community amidst an existing structure. Planned in a dynamic manner, the space recreates the post-independence era which is when the market was built. The look and spirit for the restaurant cum bar is therefore of an independent India and the brief included the intent to keep the colonial past alive while bringing out the fun and contemporary look of modern India. Being true to the language and approach, the patterns and textures adopted are very classical in order to give an authentic character to the space along with an old world Charm as it was there in 50’s.
